I have been a Mechanical Engineer for over 30 years, in a wide range of industries, with the opportunity to work on many interesting projects.
My primary focus is machine design, but with a lot of experience in process design and layout, and project management.
My most recent experience is in the marine sector, designing winches and other equipment for ocean research, as well as many projects along the waterfront, for Washington State Ferries, WETA in the SF Bay Area, Vigor Shipyards, and others. I also have extensive experience working with Boeing designing cranes and other systems affiliated with aircraft production, and with public transit, designing equipment for the maintenance of transit vehicles.
Prior to that, I have experience in engineering for wood products, petroleum and chemicals, food processing, large movable structures, industrial processes, and more.
When not working, I enjoy all that the outdoors in the PNW has to offer. Biking, hiking, camping, fly fishing, skiing, snow shoeing, and just generally being outside as much as possible. Remember, in the PNW, if you're not doing it in the rain, you're not doing it.
